     5The WARPLab Framework is a very general and flexible architecture for rapid development of physical layer algorithms. One particular instantiation of the framework is the [wiki:../Reference WARPLab Reference Design], which enables offline generation and processing of I/Q samples in MATLAB. Users' designs may use the Reference Design as-is focusing purely on MATLAB code. If the design requires it, users are also encouraged to modify the Reference Design or replace entire parts of it. These customizations fall under the umbrella of the WARPLab Framework.
