In the radio congtroller pocres, there is a module named radio_controller_TxTiming.v
I read it and it seems to me that , every time the user turns on a transmission, the transmission power will increas from the niminum to the user-set target level gradually.
My question is why not just set to the user-set target leverl at the begining?
what is the purpose or benefit by doing a gradual power increase ?

The underlying goal is to reduce the amplitude of a transmitted "spike" when the transmit chain is enabled by enabling circuits in sequence (PA, MAX2829 TXEN, MAX2829 VGA). This spike can confuse energy/packet detection systems, as it occurs before the actual transmitted waveform begins. We set the VGA ramp to its fastest setting by default, which works fine. It's likely things would work ok even without the ramp. Either way it's important to occasionally calibrate Tx DCO; a DC output from the DACs during Tx enable can cause a large spike. New radios are pre-calibrated, but the values drift with time and temperature. The user guide has more details.
