MIMO and SISO ?

Hi,

I have a question about simultaneous use of MIMO and SISO? If we purchase a MIMO board with 4 antennas, can we use 2 of the antennas on 2 different frequencies and the other 2 on the same frequency as a 2 antanna MIMO?

Each radio board can be tuned to any center frequency in the 2.4 or 5GHz bands. The real problem is designing a PHY which can exercise four radios simultaneously. Our current PHY implementations are 2x2 MIMO.
