Are you sure Matlab 2007a is compatible with the Xilinx tools v9.1? According to Xilinx's site, SysGen 9.1 is only compatible with Matlab 2006a and 2006b, whereas SysGen 9.2 is compatible with Matlab 2006b and 2007a:

But SysGen 9.2 can't be used with WARP, since EDK 9.2 doesn't support the Virtex2, as stated in one of my previous posts. If Matlab 2007a doesn't work, I suggest updating your "Getting Started" guide. I haven't tried with Matlab 2007a, but it works with 2006b.
