Hi

will the  reference design version 04 work on the newer boards(for reference design v07)?

The final WARP kit requires the clocking configuration we migrated to starting in ref design v05, in which both the FPGA and analog converters get their clocks from the clock board's 40MHz oscillator. In order to use the old PHY and code (from v04), you would have to build a new EDK project combining these with the updated clock configuration.

I strongly recommend against this; using the latest reference design is a much better option. We have made a lot of improvements to both the MAC and PHY in recent reference designs. Plus, the updated WARPMAC/WARPPHY framework includes API documentation that we will continue to maintain (in fact, it's auto-generated whenever we commit code changes).
