Hi, I saw in the 802.11 reference design, the transmission power can range from -9dBm to 21 dBm. I wonder when we set the tx power as the maximum value, i.e., 21dBm, will there be severe non-linear distortion in the hardware?
Thanks.

The Tx EVM definitely increases with Tx power. The EVM gets worse faster at the highest Tx powers. The Tx Power vs EVM curve for the supported Tx powers is plotted in the Tx characterization docs. We actually tested a few steps beyond 21dBm, but the EVM was too high to support reliable communication at the higher modulation rates. Most of this increased EVM occurs in the PA. You can see the related curves in the AWL6951 datasheet.
