I’m happy to announce that we have posted a new in-depth tutorial on building a custom frequency hopping scheme into the 802.11 Reference Design. In this tutorial, we walk through the steps to modify the 802.11 design to implement two forms of frequency hopping. The first "slow" method retains interoperability with commercial Wi-Fi devices. The second "fast" method is a radical departure from standard 802.11 behavior and works with WARP v3 access points and client stations. Both methods require only C-code changes and require no modifications to the FPGA design.
