get the dBm of the receiving signal

Hi,

is there any way to get the dBm of the receiving signal? I use the WARPLab.

Thanks!

Re: get the dBm of the receiving signal

WARPLab provides the raw I/Q samples captured by the I/Q ADC, and the raw RSSI samples captured by the RSSI. You can compute whatever Rx power estimate you want from these samples. An Rx power calculation requires knowledge of the waveform structure (i.e. how to exclude noise samples before the waveform of interest? estimate from a known preamble? etc). For an accurate Rx power estimate with your waveform you will need to calibrate with a known Rx power. For example you can use a signal generator to produce a waveform with a known structure/power. Or you can use a spectrum analyzer to measure the power of your Tx waveform, then calibrate against that in WARPLab.
