understanding WARPLab flow

Hi, I am new to WARP and am trying to understand the workflow of WARP.

Based on my understanding, WARP provides an abstraction layer for the non-hardware-engineering users
so that they can use FPGA for wireless application.
So using MatLab functions in /WARPLAB_Reference_Design_7.7.1/M_Code_Reference/classes,
users can utilize FPGA, am I correct?

Is the workflow like

1) In Xilinx System Generator, using APIs in /WARPLAB_Reference_Design_7.7.1/M_Code_Reference/classes, users create their own designs
2) Export the design to ISE to synthesize the design
3) Generate bitstream from ISE and load it to the Warp board

Let me know whether I understand this correctly. Thanks in advance.

Re: understanding WARPLab flow

This is not an accurate understanding of WARPLab. WARPLab provides a pre-built FPGA design which implements transferring Tx/Rx waveforms between the node and MATLAB and control of the node's radios from MATLAB. This design facilitates rapid prototyping of PHY algorithms, with algorithms implemented in M code and executed in MATLAB.

Please review the WARPLab Reference Design user guide for more details.
