Numbers of retransmission of DATA packet

Hello,

I have set the two WARP boards, one as AP and the other as STA. AP can send the DATA packet to STA, and STA will response an ACK packet. However, if the AP can not receive the ACK packet, it will send the DATA packet again. Thus, I want to know how many times the AP can retransmit the DATA packets if AP cannot receive the ACK packet continuously?

Best wishes,
Yan

Re: Numbers of retransmission of DATA packet

The short answer is that a typical 802.11 device will attempt to put a DATA packet on the air up to 7 times before discarding it and moving on to the next packet. However, this behavior is subtle.
