regarding updated OFDM model available at the website

Hello All...
i'm trying to use the OFDM Model available at your website...but having a few problems..

i'd downloaded the entire files on NOV-6-2006 only and when i try to run the model  "ofdm_TxRx_simOnly.mdl"  , it gives an error....and it is found that there are a few broken links and missed blocks in the
   - Equalization Decision
  - FFT V3_2  in the Transmitter/ OFDM TRANSMITTER..
   -  Frequency Offset -   in AWGN Channel...

and also when we run the .m files it says the crc-polynomial not found...

kindly suggest how can we use this code.....

we'd downloaded the earlier version of the OFDM model also (few months back) and it seems that the design which is now available is an updated one.....so we're interested ising the updated model only...

Please guide us so that run the model...
Thanx in advance..

Thanx
Regards
Chhavi

Re: regarding updated OFDM model available at the website

Hello Chhavi,

Here's a few things you can try:

-Run 'xlVersion' in MATLAB and confirm that you are running either 8.1.01 or 8.2 version of Sysgen.

-If you have just installed a new version of Sysgen, run the following commands in MATLAB:
     - 'rehash toolbox'
     - 'rehash toolboxcache'
     - 'clear all functions'

-If you are using 8.2 then run xlUpdateModel('ofdm_TxRx_simOnly.mdl').

-It appears that you do not have the Communication Blockset for Sysgen so delete the AWGN Block from FreqOffset subsystem and just connect the Bias and ComplextoRealImag blocks together.

-You don't need to run the m-files separately; when you the run the model it will execute the m-files itself.

Let me know if this helped solve the problem or not.

Re: regarding updated OFDM model available at the website

Hello  Sid..

Thanx a lot for the reply and the suggestions..

- we r using Sygen 8.1 version
- as regards the communicatin toolbox, we r having it..but in the model it shows a 'bad link'in place of the AWGN Channel...anyways..i'd connected the "bias and Complex2real Blocks together..

- what about the FFT BLOCKS IN THE TRANSMITTER and the DepFFT...subsystems..

the same bad link is shown at these places also...
but i tried to replace it with a new FFT block ( same settings as done in the older model available at ur website )..

but when i go for compiling, it gives an error :

"The data rates and types could not be established for the feedback paths through these blocks. You may need to add an "Assert" block to instruct the system how to resolve rates and types."

Could u pls let me know how to overcome this error...

Thanx  again..

Re: regarding updated OFDM model available at the website

Chhavi,
Make sure you have version 8.1.01 of Sysgen. If you have just version 8.1 then you can download the patch for that from the Xilinx website. Support for the FFT v3.2 was added in this patch. This should take care of the FFT block error.

Thanx  a  lot for the guidance...
well.. now the problem is to analyze the design...and that could be much easier if we have some documentation..
hope to get the Documentation quite early..thanx

Thanx a lot..
