Tera Term Display

In some generations of our Transmitter, we would get some display errors with the Tera Term Pro (and Hyperterminal also) while other generations of the same model, except for some minor changes to the Chipscope, are fine.  For example, in one generation, we would get a consistent error when displaying the numbers 4, 5, 6, and 7, while another generation of the model with some Chipscope ports changed will display the correct numbers in TeraTermPro.  There is also a mixture of random symbols in some generations.  Re-downloading the bitstream to the FPGA does not change anything.  Has anyone encountered something similar before?

Thanks,
Joshua

Re: Tera Term Display

Problems with UART output can usually be traced to one of:
-Wrong rate selection in the UART pcore's parameters (C_BAUDRATE)
-Wrong system clock rate selection in the UART pcore's parameters (C_CLK_FREQ)
-Bad PC serial port; we've observed problems communicating at 115200 bps with some of our Dell PCs. 57600 bps seems to work reliably.
