what is the function of the Analog board?

Recently,I want to bulit a 4*4 MIMO OFDM wireless system,so I need 4 Radio boards. However, there will be no place to install the Analog board.Must I use the Analog board? What is the function of the Analog board? Is it used to connect with the oscilloscope or anything else?

Re: what is the function of the Analog board?

The Analog Board is a daughtercard with four DACs and two ADCs. The clocks and digital interfaces for all the converters are connected directly to FPGA pins. The board can be used for any baseband analog application. We use them primarily for real-time debugging of physical layer designs via an oscilloscope (viewing constellations, phase offsets, etc.).

A kit with four Radio Boards cannot use an Analog Board. Each daughtercard (Radio or Analog) occupies one of the four slots on the FPGA Board.

Re: what is the function of the Analog board?

Thank you for your answer!
you say that "A kit with four Radio Boards cannot use an Analog Board",so in this case, how to  debug the physical layer designs and how intuitively demo  the performance of the very algorithm of Physical/MAC/Routing layer ?
