Mango 802.11 Reference Design v0.96 available

We have just posted the Mango 802.11 Reference Design v0.96. The changelog is pretty extensive, including a brand new top-level project for IBSS (aka 'ad hoc'). An example of how to use this project is available in the IBSS (ad hoc) with Multiple Traffic Flows application note.

Hi, How much free space is there left on the FPGA with this latest update to the reference design.

Thanks,

SG

The resource utilization is nearly identical to the 0.95 release. Details are available here.

Re: Mango 802.11 Reference Design v0.96 available

I highly doubt anyone has run into this problem yet, but I would recommend updating the directions for importing the new 0.96 SDK project here (I have not tested with 0.95): http://warpproject.org/trac/wiki/802.11/Usage , with the note that creating a new BSP from hardware requires modification of the WARPxilnet library configuration:

http://imgur.com/mutwXKP

Default values in a fresh BSP project set ETH_A_uses_xilnet value to 1, when it should be 0, according to the settings of the release BSPs for the 802.11 Reference Design Beta 0.96. The optimization settings were as follows:

xillib optimization: -O2
project optimization: -Os

I've checked, and up until Beta release 0.93, this setting was not required. But in 0.96, this setting is required otherwise additional code is compiled and the .text section will not fit on the BRAM in any of the mb_high-based projects. This was pretty tricky to track down, so I hope this helps someone.
