Mango 802.11 Reference Design v1.2 available

Version 1.2 of the Mango 802.11 Reference Design is now available. See the changelog to download the design and review the latest changes.

This release includes one new feature: configurable Rx sensitivity. This option allows the PHY to require a minimum received power before starting any PHY processing. The minimum power threshold is configurable at runtime, either in C code or from the wlan_exp Python framework. Researchers can use this feature to make nodes "deaf" to low-power receptions in scenarios where isolation of co-located experimental nodes is desired. This feature is disabled by default, as intentionally ignoring weak receptions can have significant performance implications. See the new Packet Detection Minimum Power documentation for details.

This release also addresses a few bugs:
-Fixed scaling of 64-QAM in the Tx PHY
-Fixed off-by-1 size of counter in Rx PHY that previously reduced max pkt size by half - thanks to Tomi for finding this
-Fixed bug in AGC configuration that reduced Rx performance at higher rates

Refer to the release notes for full details of the bug fixes and code updates.
