default sampling frequency

We know that the ADC of v3 is 12-bit 100MSps , but somehow the default sampling frequency is 40M,  why we only use a low sampling frequency ? Does 40M is set by the clock frequency (but the clock frequency is 80M)?

Re: default sampling frequency

The WARP v3 ADCs support sampling frequencies up to 100MSps. The WARPLab reference design operates the ADCs at 40MSps. We chose 40MSps to facilitate the maximum bandwidth of the MAX2829 Tx/Rx paths (approx 40MHz).
