Reference Design 802.11 AP WARP v3

Hello,

I have noticed that the reference design for AP supports channels 1-11. However, I realized that functions for setting up the channel also support channels 36,40,44 and 48 (5GHz band). I was curious to check whether we could change the default channel to 36 instead of 1. So I changed the default channels from the AP and STA and ping each other. It works, but I still can't answer this question myself, which is the corresponding 802.11 standard which is supposed to be at this 5GHz-band channels? I referred to Mango web page but it only says:

"802.11 Reference Design for WARP v3 implements the 802.11a/g MAC and PHY in real-time"

Best regards,
Gabriele Galiero Casay

Re: Reference Design 802.11 AP WARP v3

802.11a is the OFDM PHY and DCF MAC operating at those 5GHz channels. 802.11g is the same PHY and MAC operating at 2.4GHz.
