About 802.11 ETH_A MAC

Dear Sir,

Can I modify the “type of TEMAC” to “soft TEMAC 10/100/1000Mbits”?

The 802.11 ref design uses the hard TEMAC blocks in the Virtex-6 FPGA on WARP v3 hardware.

Re: About 802.11 ETH_A MAC

Dear murphpo,

If we would like to change the type of TEMAC to “soft TEMAC 10/100/1000Mbits”.
Is it possible?
Does we need to modify new driver or their functions are same?

Best Regards,
Paul

I haven't tried using the soft TEMAC on the V6 FPGA; I think it should work. But why do you want to do this? The soft TEMAC implements the same logic as the hard TEMAC block but uses lots of logic and clocking resources.
