Are you referring to System Generator's Co-Simulation mode? The 802.11 ref design does not support co-simulation. The Tx, Rx and MAC cores all require real-time interaction with the CPU Low MicroBlaze core, a design flow which is not compatible with the requirements of System Generator co-simulation.
