802.11 reference design: tx rx buffer

Hello,

I want to modify 802.11 reference design.
I have a warp v3 node. I want to regard RF A chain as transmitter and RF B chain as receiver. In stead of transmitting signals from RF A to RF B through the air, I want to  produce signals at RF A side. After modulation at RF A chain, I want to get modulated data at RF B side.


what kind of modules I can use to achieve this goal?

Take a look at FDD-NoMAC as an example of some similar changes. If RFA and RFB were tuned to the same band instead of two orthogonal frequencies, I think it would achieve the behavior you are describing.

Import caveat: you must ensure at least 30dB+ of attenuation between Tx and Rx to avoid damaging your receiving radio. That means you can't just put antennas on RFA and RFB. You should use external attenuation. Even if both RFA and RFB are terminated, there is only about 50dB of isolation between RFA and RFB. So for testing you may just want to terminate both connectors and rely on coupling through the board for the reception.
