[[Image(WARPImages:infrastructure_sm.jpg, align=right, 500)]] = WARP: Wireless Open-Access Research Platform = We have designed a highly '''capable''', '''scalable''' and '''extensible''' platform for advanced wireless research. The design elements which provide these features are integrated into a complete platform, providing the tools and resources required for research and development at all levels of wireless systems. This integration enables researchers to focus on improving one aspect of a wireless system without having to implement, or even understand, everything required to enable real-world communications. All aspects of the platform, including the custom hardware designs, platform support packages and implementations of research applications, will be available in an open-access repository. This repository is available to and welcomes contributions from all users of the platform in hope of establishing an active resource for collaboration in high performance wireless research. You can read more about the overall project at the main [http://warp.rice.edu/ WARP site] (http://warp.rice.edu/). == WARP Repository == * [wiki:"license" Read the WARP open-access license] * [wiki:"repositoryAccess" Read more about repository access] * [source:/ Browse the repository] == Support Resources == * [http://warp.rice.edu/forums Public WARP forums] * [https://mailman.rice.edu/mailman/listinfo/warp-users-l WARP users mailing list] * [XilinxDocs Xilinx Documentation] == Documentation == * [wiki:HardwareUsersGuides Hardware Users Guides] * [wiki:"FAQ" Frequently Asked Questions] == Research Applications == * [wiki:OFDM OFDM Physical Layers] - FPGA implementations of OFDM transceivers * [wiki:"SISO Automatic Gain Control"] - Implementations of SISO-AGC * [wiki:"Medium Access Control"] - Implementations of MAC layers == Platform Support Packages == * [wiki:Install The WARP EDK Installer Project] - An up-to-date binary that makes implementing/updating WARP peripherals, reference designs, and documentation a breeze. * [wiki:"WARP FPGA Board XBD"] - Board description file for Xilinx Platform Studio * [wiki:sysgen2opb sysgen2opb] - Matlab script to convert System Generator hardware co-simulation models into OPB peripherals * Custom Peripherals * [wiki:RadioController Radio Controller] - core and driver for controlling the WARP radio board * [wiki:RadioBridge Radio Bridge] - core used to interface the radio controller to the underlying hardware * [wiki:EEPROM] - core used to access the EEPROM devices located on the WARP FPGA and WARP radio boards. * [wiki:"Radio Self Test" Radio Self Test] == Reference Designs == * [wiki:"Wireless Reference Designs"] - Collection of full wireless designs * [wiki:"FPGA Board Test"] - Project which tests the FPGA board's peripherals and demonstrates how to use them in custom designs * [wiki:xilkernel_ref Xilkernel Reference Designs] - A collection of WARP reference projects designed to introduce the programmer to most of the functionality of the xilkernel operating system. * [wiki:mgt_ref MGT Reference Design] - This reference design demonstrates the transmission of UDP packets between two WARP boards using multi-gigabit transceivers. * [wiki:"Interrupt Reference Design"] - This reference design show how to correctly configure and use interrupts with the interrupt controller. == Hardware Designs == * [wiki:"FPGA Board" FPGA Board] * [wiki:"Radio Board" Radio Board] * [wiki:"Analog Board" Analog Board] * [wiki:"Video Board" Video Board] * [wiki:"DaughtercardSpec" Daughtercard Specification] == Papers & Presentations == * [wiki:"Asilomar2006_WARPMAC" A Flexible Framework for Wireless Medium Access Protocols - Hunter, Camp, Murphy, Sabharwal, Dick] * [wiki:"Asilomar2006_MIMOBeamforming" A High Throughput Beamforming Architecture for MIMO Systems - Duarte, Sabharwal, Dick, Rao] * [wiki:"EUSIPCO2006_DesignOfWARP" Design of WARP: a Wireless Open-Access Research Platform - Murphy, Sabharwal, Aazhang] * For additional documents, see [http://cmc.rice.edu/docs/ CMC Documents Database]
