= WARP Workshop at Rice University - March 29-30, 2010 = The tenth WARP workshop will be held at Rice University on March 29-30, 2010. == Overview == The WARP Workshop is designed to introduce researchers to the tools and design flows used to build custom wireless networking designs on WARP. The materials cover the basics of the WARP hardware and introduce the platform's physical and MAC layer design flows. The workshop is composed of both technical presentations, delivered by the Rice students and staff working on WARP, and hands-on lab exercises using the WARP hardware and design flows. The content and organization will be similar to our previous workshops, the materials for which are available [wiki:Workshops here]. == Registration == The workshop is open to academic and corporate researchers interested in using WARP. Registration will remain open as long as seats are available. The registration fees are US$80 for academic attendees (university students, faculty & staff) and US$150 for corporate attendees. The fee includes the workshop itself, plus breakfast and lunch both days. The fees will be collected when you submit your registration. If you have any questions, please contact us at warp-project[at]rice.edu '''before''' submitting your registration. Please register via our [https://cohesion.rice.edu/Services/EventReg/?event=WRP0 online form]. == Logistics == The workshop will be held on the Rice University campus, in Abercrombie Lab room A123. A [http://www.rice.edu/maps/maps.html campus map] is available (select "Abercrombie Engineering Laboratory"). The nearest parking is in the Founder's Court lots (the yellow areas on the map, labeled "visitor parking"). The workshop sessions will run 9am-5pm on Monday/Tuesday March 29-30, 2010. Continental breakfast will be available outside the lab at 8:45am both days, and lunch will be provided. There are many hotels near campus; here's [http://explore.rice.edu/explore/Hotel.asp one list]. Many of these hotels will offer a discounted rate if you mention that you're visiting Rice. == Workshop Materials == The materials (slides, lab exercises & handouts) will be posted after the workshop. In the meantime, you can browse the materials from our [wiki:Workshops previous workshops]. === Other Useful Resources === * [wiki:WARPLab WARPLab] * [wiki:OFDMReferenceDesign OFDM Reference Design] * [wiki:HardwareUsersGuides/FPGABoard_v1.2 FPGA Board Users Guide] * [wiki:HardwareUsersGuides/RadioBoard_v1.4 Radio Board Users Guide] * [/WARP_API WARP APIs] * Radio Controller * [wiki:HardwareUsersGuides/RadioBoard_v1.4/RadioController Overview] * [source:/PlatformSupport/CustomPeripherals/drivers/radio_controller_v1_20_a/src Software Source] * [source:/PlatformSupport/CustomPeripherals/pcores/radio_controller_v1_20_a/hdl Hardware Source] * [source:/ResearchApps/PHY/MIMO_OFDM WARP OFDM Transceiver] * [source:/PlatformSupport/WARPMAC WARPMAC Source] * [source:/ResearchApps/MAC MAC Implementations] * [http://xilinx.com/univ/ Xilinx University Program]
