In this section, you will make all necessary cable connections to the WARP FPGA board.

Verify that the WARP FPGA board's Master Power switch is set to the OFF position, then connect a 12 Volt DC power supply to the board's 12V DC input connector. An Astrodyne model SPU30-105 switching power supply has been certified for use in this application, but any other 12V / 2.5A DC power supply with identical connector polarity should suffice. With the Master Power switch set to OFF, exactly one LED should be lit. This LED is located next to the DC input connector, and it indicates that power is being supplied to the board. If any other LED is lit, the Master Power switch has been incorrectly set to the ON position.

With the Master Power switch still set to the OFF position, connect a USB cable between the WARP FPGA board's USB connector, that is next to the CompactFlash slot, and a USB connector on the Windows PC.

With the Master Power switch still set to the OFF position, connect a DB9 serial cable between the WARP FPGA board's serial port connector and a serial port connector on the Windows PC.
