Mobility Simulation & Antennas

I have to issues to ask about:
(1) I want to know if anyone simulated mobility in his lab before and if there's better solutions than getting cars with remote control system and put the kits on them to simulate mobility.
(2) Also I want to ask about the facility of getting better antennas (higher gain and directivity) like horn antennas .. and if the power amplifiers of the daughterboards can drive these higher gains or not.

Re: Mobility Simulation & Antennas

1) We've used a channel emulator with WARP to emulate high-mobility channels. We use a Spirent SR5500 emulator; another emulator is the Elektrobit C8. Unfortunately, both instruments are very expensive.

2) Any antenna that presents a 50-ohm load to the WARP radio board should work fine. We use antennas from HyperLink Technologies. Be sure you get antennas with a SMA-male connector (standard-polarity, standard-gender). For reference, the antennas we ship with kits are the HyperLink RE07U-SM.
