Maximum resend

Hello,
I would like to know what is the point of warpmac_setMaxResend(maximumReSend); function when is possible to manually assign txMacframe.header.remainingTx value?

warpmac_setMaxResend() sets the default value for the maximum number of re-transmissions. Every new packet adopts this value as its initial remainingTx value.
