MAX2829 system timing

I checked Fig.1 in the 'MAX2828/MAX2829 single-/dual-band 802.11a/b/b world-band transceiver ICs' speicifications, and would like to get a comparison on the time difference between 'switching off a radio' and 'reconfigure a new transmit power level', given that the radio is on already. Can you help me? Many thanks!

Re: MAX2829 system timing

Figure 1 only shows the suggested sequence of events. The signal timing in this figure is not drawn to scale. The only time values specified by Maxim are given in the "AC ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS" tables. I don't believe they specify the timing of a Tx gain change. I've never measured this explicitly, but my intuition is it's very fast- a few sample periods at most. Disabling the Tx path in the radio is also very fast. De-asserting the TXEN signal powers down the Tx circuits immediately.
