can't find a driver for warp

Hello,

I'm a newbie for this board. While following the instructions
in "Intro to the WARP FPGA Board," I got stuck to the installation
of a hardware driver.

In the step - http://warp.rice.edu/trac/wiki/Exercise … unication,
my Windows XP professional can't find an appropriate driver for
the WARP, which is supposed to be done automatically.

I use a USB-to-serial cable (driver for this was installed already),
and that was my first time to turn on the warp board.

Does anyone have some idea?

Re: can't find a driver for warp

Have you installed Xilinx ISE yet? ISE provides the USB driver for the JTAG circuit on the FPGA board. See this getting started page for all of the required/recommended tools.

Re: can't find a driver for warp

Thanks for your answer.

Though I installed ISE, my Windows couldn't find an appropriate driver. I removed the ISE and installed it again. Now it can find a driver and passed the test described in http://warp.rice.edu/trac/wiki/Exercise … ingImpact. But when I run XPS and try to create a new project, there is no WARP board in Board vendor option in Base System Builder wizard. Of course, ISE service pack 2, EDK service pack, and IP core serivce pack are all
installed. Do you have any idea on this problem?

Please see the same getting started page. It provides a link to detailed instructions for installing all of the platform support files from the repository (which include the WARP board descriptions for Base System Builder).

Re: can't find a driver for warp

Thank you so much! I thought all files in the repositories were updated in my local machine, but I needed to check out them again with a fresh install.
