BER using 16-QAM with OFDM reference design

Hello everyone,

I just started using the OFDM reference design in simulation. I observed that the BER when the fullRate is set to 16-QAM (modMask_antA = 4) reaches 13.18% with SNR=500dB. I did no further modifications to the design than changing the modMask_antA in ofdm_tx_mimo_init.m. The BER using QPSK becomes zero after some packets. Is that a common value? Is there a configuration parameter I missed?  What would be the expected BER when using coded OFDM?

Thanks!

Re: BER using 16-QAM with OFDM reference design

This was the BER for the MIMO model. In SISO the BER is zero in all modulation schemes. Is this the performance to be expected in the MIMO mode?

Thanks!
