The WARP User I/O board, like all WARP hardware, was designed entirely from scratch by members of the ​CMC at Rice University.

The WARP User I/O board (revision 1.0) was designed by Barron Stone.

The User I/O Board controller peripheral core and support code were designed by Siddharth Gupta and Patrick Murphy.
